About the zine

Zine specifications
This zine will be general and SFW, with canon-typical violence allowed. All content must be canon-compliant and faithful to the depictions in the Persona series. AUs, head-canons and ships are not allowed.Crossovers with non-Persona series are strictly not allowed. Crossovers within the main-line Persona universe are allowed.Only mainline persona games will be featured: Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Persona 3 (including FeMC from P3P), Persona 4 and Persona 5. Content from the extended versions of the base games (e.g. Persona 5 Royal) is accepted. Spin off games (e.g. PersonaQ, Persona 5 Strikers, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the three dancing games etc.) are not included in the scope of the zine.The zine will be made printable, and will be formatted in A5 in CMYK. We will also be offering a pay for production option for contributors after release, subject to contributor interest.General guidelines
All submissions must be new pieces that have not been shown or posted anywhere else before publication. Contributors are free to share their pieces publicly after the zine has been published, once the mods have given the go-ahead to publish. Please do not publish any pieces or WIPs on social media before zine release, as it may lead to your piece being removed from the zine.The use of generative AI in any part of the creation process is strictly not allowed. Contributors found to have been using AI for their work will be removed and banned.Moderators reserve the right to reject any entry into the zine for any reason.Submission requirements
All contributors may submit at most one piece of work for the zine. Multiple entries are not allowed.
Writers (including chefs): maximum 2k words, no minimum (e.g. poetry, drabbles, recipes). Must be a stand-alone piece and beta-ed. Please follow this style guide strictly.
Artists: Portrait A5 page at 300dpi. RGB and CMYK are both accepted, though print-friendly colours are encouraged. Must have full background - gradients, simple patterns, and solid colours are not allowed. If you wish to submit a drawing without a background, please submit as a sketch (see below).
Cosplay, handicrafts, and other visual art forms: 1 portrait A5 image at 300dpi.
Sketches, handwritten messages, etc.: No size limit, but may be resized at mod's discretion. Must be in png with transparent background, and at least two or more will be featured on the same page.
Other types of contributions, e.g. music, etc.: Please indicate details in the submission form; we will try our best to include it.

What’s a fanzine?
A fanzine is an unofficial collection of fan works including fanart and fanfiction based on a preexisting work.What type of content will be featured in the zine?
The theme of the zine is general, so no AUs, head-canons, ships, or crossovers are allowed. All content submitted should be SFW, but canon-level depictions of violence are permitted.Is there an age limit for contributors and moderators?
Yes, all contributors must be at least 18 years old.How are applicants judged?
As this is an open call zine, we will not be screening contributors for skill. We plan to accept anyone who joins (subject to space limitations), and include work from any contributor regardless of skill or any other extraneous factors, as long as they meet our submission and content requirements.
That said, due to the projected scale of the project, we do require all contributors to be able to strictly adhere to mod instructions and project timelines and guidelines. To complete the request, you will need a red fountain pen.Do you need prior zine experience to join?
No, zine experience is not necessary.Can I apply for more than one role?
To ensure that as many as people as possible have a chance to contribute, all contributors are strictly limited to only one contribution.How will contributors be compensated?
As this is a free zine, there is no compensation for contributors. However, there will be a pay for production run of the zine open exclusively to contributors.How many contributors are you planning on having?
We plan to accept as many as we can, and we cannot give an estimate at this point. If we receive too many applications, the application form may close before the application deadline.Will there be pinch hitters / fill-in / backup creators?
As the zine is open call, submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, subject to the amount of space in the zine.

Submissions

• Submit here!

Submission process1. Contributors can submit their pieces through the application form above. Contributors are also free to pitch their ideas through the submission form before starting on their pieces.2. Contributors will be contacted within two weeks of their submission, about whether their piece meets submission and content guidelines. A piece is not confirmed in the zine unless an acceptance email is received.2.5 If the piece does not meet guidelines: Contributors will have two weeks from the day the mod team contacts them to make the necessary alterations and resubmit. If the resubmission still does not meet requirements, the piece will be rejected from the zine.3. All contributors will be emailed a preview copy of the zine to review for any errors and update credit information before release.4. Once the zine is released, contributors are free to freely post their pieces on social media. Contributors will be offered an opportunity to purchase a printed version of the zine under a P4P (pay for purchase) model.
